Change The "Slide To Unlock Text"

This hack will change the "slide to unlock" text to any desired text. For this tutorial I will be using AppleTronics.

What you need:

• Jail-Broken iDevice
• iFile (or ssh)
• WinterBoard

Step 1. Download “Slide to unlock killer” from Cydia.

Step 2. Open up “iFile” and keep tapping the top left arrow until you get to Root. This will be as far as you can go back.

Step 3. Scroll down to var. Tap it.

Step 4. Scroll down to stash. Tap it.

Step 5. Scroll down to Themes. Tap it.

Step 6. Scroll down to "Slide to Unlock killer (text).theme". Tap it.

Then tap on: bundles, then: com.apple.springboard, Then: en.lproj, Then: open SpringBoard.strings and select Text Viewer.

Step 7. Erase everything except "AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "    "; as shown in the picture above, then replace the spaces with the text you want to display instead of "slide to unlock" Then hit SAVE and DONE. Exit iFile.

Example: Change this:  AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "    "      To this: AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "AppleTronics"

Step 8. Now, go to winterboard and select "Slide to Unlock killer (text)" then exit the app, the device will automatically restart, and you will see the changes when it boots up.
